Today's flooring industry has more styles and options for textures than ever before. Whether you are looking for hard-surface, soft service, resilient floors - flooring textures should be considered to develop your home's feel, design and function.
Soft Surface - This category includes Carpet, carpet squares, outdoor carpet and rugs. These soft-surface options allow for a soft texture and comfort under your feet. The soft texture also serves to trap dust and debris (i.e.: front door mat) and also has the quality of slip resistance. Lastly, many soft surface applications help with body fatigue and cushion against accidental falls.
Hard Surface - This category includes Hardwood, Engineered hardwoods and Tile Surfaces. These surfaces are generally considered more luxurious and boast advantages for long-term wear and unique styling. Hard surfaces can be installed many different ways and combined together. Varying textures within hard-surfaces allows for vast options to meet any home styles.
Resilient Surface - This category generally includes LVP, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, etc. These surfaces are manufactured and perfected to allow for some of the most durable and cost-effective options. Technology advances to resilient floors and market share for resilient floors (especially LVP) has grown tremendously. These floors are perfect for busy households!
